The Uighur solidarity rally has turned into abject chaos after riot police arrived to rescue the Chinese flag outside City Hall, which was earlier lowered and left on the ground
Very chaotic scene as a small number of riot police arrived and collected the flag. Someone shoved an officer, they attempted to arrest the person and were surrounded by angry protesters. Many were pepper sprayed. More police arriving and at least one arrested

Sunday's Edinburgh Place rally at 3:30pm supporting the Uyghurs has received a letter of no objection from the police.
